Laura wanted something different, so she chose an elevated floor covered with cream carpet instead of the usual plastic draping. Joliet Tent made sure it was stable and elegant. This choice transformed the tent from a simple gathering space to a classy venue.By Wednesday, A. Hunt Design hung chains for floral arrangements. Laura’s vision included circular flower chandeliers over some tables and vibrant garden arrangements elsewhere. This wedding was all about color and style.Thursday brought the lighting magic. A Posh Production worked tirelessly, hanging strands of twinkle lights along the 120-foot clear top tent. It took an entire day, but the results were stunning, adding a warm glow to the space.Friday was bustling with activity. Create A Scene and Peoria Rentals arrived to set up tables, chairs, and other decor. They brought a big team to tackle the task, making sure everything was perfect. However, the heat was a challenge. September is usually mild, but a huge heatwave hit, and the clear-top tent quickly became a sauna! Just note there is no amount of AC that can ever get a clear tent in the hot summer sun to cool off.On Saturday, 618 Events and the rest of the crew worked on the event’s final details, bringing in fresh flowers and delicate paper items. The bridal party got ready at the gorgeous new hotel component at the Urbana Country Club. The atmosphere was relaxed as they prepared for the big moment. Laura and her bridesmaids traveled to the venue in a white limo, while Nate and his groomsmen enjoyed some downtime at the club’s golf simulator.The ceremony went off without a hitch! The officiant, full of energy, added a personal touch to their event. Live musicians played as Laura walked down a white aisle set up for the occasion. It was a lovely spot on the golf course, surrounded by greenery and fresh flowers.After the ceremony, guests enjoyed cocktails around the cool pool, soaking in the beautiful weather and listening to live music. A Polaroid camera allowed guests to capture fun moments for the couple’s guestbook.As the sun set, the reception began in the glowing tent. Laura and Nate were excited to see the finished setup, which turned out magnificent. The atmosphere was magical, illuminated by twinkling lights and filled with joyful music. They opted for a warm flatbread appetizer, keeping the meal casual yet classy. The night advanced with heartfelt dances and toasts, all literally under the stars.The highlight was undoubtedly the live band, The Chicago Catz. They brought energy and fun, creating a packed dance floor. Everyone danced the night away. After the band played, guests transitioned to an afterparty by the pool, complete with a DJ and snacks.The entire week was a whirlwind of preparation and joy, culminating in an unforgettable celebration at Urbana Country Club. The blending of beautiful flowers, tremendous thoughtful design, and magical moments created a lasting memory for Laura and Nate. Whether it’s capturing vibrant floral displays or joyful moments under twinkling lights, the beauty of a wedding at this elegant country club shines through in every frame.
