Venice Italy on 120 film, taken by my trusty Holga.
I slept in on this Monday after attending Salt Shed’s (@saltshedchicago) 2nd year of Warm Love Cool Dreams (@warmlovecooldreams) last night. Day two wrapped with a magnetic performance by Courtney Barnett (@courtneybarnett). Backed by heavier drums and bringing a more intense, Petty-esque live presence, she transforms songs that can feel once quiet and introspective on record into something electric onstage. Big thanks to all at SS for having me! So, now what exciting things will happen today? We just announced a surprise, acoustic, phone-free show with Phoebe Bridgers (@phoebebridgers) at the Orpheum in Champaign. Ok, it’s not such a mundane Monday.
HUM (@humbandofficial) at slide away (@slideawayfest). No words. Only love for this Champaign takeover.
