On the return segment from a vacation, I always board the plane with a touch of postpartum. But, there’s nothing quite like seeing an urban landscape from a bird’s eye view that can make things feel a little less heavy. I first posted a photo from my travels between Chicago and New York two years ago. It was clear skies that day in April. Monday’s decent to ORD was riddled with heavy fog/smog and it felt pretty magical.
