Intimate weddings with the closest loved ones in attendance are the greatest. It is weddings like these where I feel like family; from the moment I start the day I am beyond grateful this is my profession.
Dror and Jim were wed in a lush garden at Aurora in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, New York by Seattle’s very own Mayor, Ed Murray. Jim and Dror’s families had only met for the first time earlier that week — yet, it seemed as through they had known one another for years. In the restaurant’s Tuscan-styled dining room and garden were five communal tables for everyone with table arrangements by Home/Made in Red Hook. And there is really no better way to say “family” than with a hearty, rustic Italian meal to start the evening.
My most favorite part of the night was when the couple passed out songbooks to their guests and a sing-a-long with the jazz trio commenced! Not to mention the drive back to my hotel in Manhattan provided the best shot of the skyline from on the Brooklyn Bridge.
