Even though I had tickets to this show, I got the opportunity to score a photo pass. So, here’s my long overdue post for M83’s Chicago show on May 4 at The Riviera Theatre with I Break Horses. M83’s live performance was immaculate. Between the packed house and electric band — especially Morgan Kibby’s magnetic voice and skillful, determined fingers — the energy blew straight through the roof. Every spot in the iconic Riv provides an excellent sightline. There’s no bad seat in the house. I’m definitely looking forward to M83’s next album and, of course, tour.
