Pam + Josh

Before last Saturday, I had never been down to the Chicago Urban Art Society. It is not only a place to view inspiring works by emerging artists — it’s a terrific space for weddings and it’s operated by some of the nicest folks in the city. Lauren Pacheco, co-founder of CUAS, greeted me with a smile and kindly let me share her office space. The art seen below is “Collections” by The Post Family, an art and design collective. If you have the chance, stop by the gallery to take a peek at the wonderful array of oddities and discarded treasures they have preserved in Mason jars.

Now, about the wedding! Pam and Josh had an intimate ceremony in Michigan, followed a few days later by a dance party get down! Honestly, I’ve never seen people dance as hard as they did at Pam and Josh’s wedding celebration. Jena Nixon, their DJ from Toast & Jam, nailed it with the hits and had the crowd on the dance floor for the entire night. People shook their booties ’til it hurt! Everyone had a great time. There was so much love and happiness in the air…it was truly contagious!
