Michaela + Jerry

It may have been slightly inclement weather for an engagement session, especially for one right off the lake, but Michaela and Jerry didn’t mind a little wind and rain. After all, they have their love to keep them warm. We started our afternoon at the Cultural Center and made our way outside to Frank Gehry’s Pritzker Pavilion, the tulip filled Lurie Garden, and finally up the Nichols Bridgeway. It led us right into the Art Institute where we found Chagall’s America Windows and Georgia O’Keeffe’s Sky Above Clouds IV. It was such a treat to be able to photograph such a loving couple next to such monumental artwork. Here’s to a perfect October wedding at the Byron Colby Barn. I’m overjoyed to have the opportunity to shoot there again.
