Erin + Tristan

Yesterday, my darling sister-in-law was hitched. After days of tracking the inclement weather and watching it hover around the weekend of their wedding, Erin and Tristan rolled the dice on what could have been a rainy, rainy Saturday. They, however, could not have had a more perfect day for a backyard garden wedding. That morning, the rain seemed to vanish from off of the radar and the sun even popped out. The wedding was held on the northeast corner of Carle Park in Urbana, Illinois and the reception was at Tristan’s parents home. It was inspiring to see family and friends come from all over to celebrate with E+T and support them in their new life together. Of course, there are those that were dearly missed, especially Fern “Grammy” Young. Grammy would have been so proud and we all know her heart would have been bursting with happiness. So here’s to family, to finding love, to building a new life together,…to Erin and Tristan, I love you both oh so much.
Here’s a little video of Vern and Erin dancing to “You Are My Sunshine” — a song he would sing to her at bedtime when she was a little girl. The crowd started to sing along, Ben broke a plate + laughs were had.
